Ever Increasing Tenant Occupancy At The Maltings Business Centre

The latest GDP figures from the ONS (Office for National Statistics) show that the UK narrowly avoided a dreaded triple dip recession, as our economy grew by 0.3% in the first quarter of 2013.

Whilst it is widely accepted that there is no quick fix, or foreseeable end to this period of economic uncertainty, recent increased tenant occupancy levels at The Maltings business centre, tend to convey a more positive outlook.

Since its official completion in January 2012, The Maltings have implemented a diverse marketing strategy to help promote the ambitious £3m redevelopment, which includes the following enhanced facilities:

  • 24 hour 365 days a year on-site manned security
  • Both serviced & self-managed office suites
  • Fully serviced professional reception area
  • On-site gymnasium with free membership for tenants
  • Outstanding meeting venues
  • Courtesy transport to/from Cardiff city centre
  • On site cafĂ©/coffee shop
  • Ample on-site car parking

It appears that the concept of modern contemporary offices set within a landmark 19th century building, is an attractive proposition to both new business startups and more established organisations.

This theory is supported by the findings of a recent internal tenant occupancy review, which shows that the take up of new office space at The Maltings, has by far exceeded the anticipated projections of several commercial property experts.

Everyone at The Maltings is extremely proud of the thriving business community developing at our Cardiff Bay headquarters, and we are already planning the next phase of development, as only a handful of existing office suites remain vacant.

If you would like to arrange an office viewing at The Maltings, then please send us an email or contact Kathy Fox, Gareth Oram or Alex Davies on 02920 462045.

The Maltings Supports University & Grass Roots Rugby Teams

With a Company Chairman who is a former PE Teacher, it is not surprising to hear that The Maltings has a close connection and affinity with sport. Throughout our 30 year history, we have always looked for opportunities to support local sports teams and community initiatives.

The most recent teams to have benefited from a sponsorship deal with The Maltings are, Cardiff MetropolitanRFC and Monmouth RFC.

Currently sitting third in the newly created Swalec Championship division, Cardiff Metropolitan RFC are an exciting team of University students that are renowned for playing high risk expansive rugby. Whilst the first XV are the headline makers, it is important not to forget that there are five other senior teams actively fulfilling fixtures every week.

After successfully securing promotion last season, Monmouth RFC are consolidating their position in Division 4 East of the Welsh National League structure. The popular rugby club is situated in the heart of the picturesque welsh border town, and is a central focal point for numerous children and adults within the local community. Clearly the clubs hierarchy understands the importance of nurturing young talent, as Monmouth RFC run an impressive young rugby structure – consisting of teams of every age group from Under 7-s to Under 16’s.

Everyone at The Maltings is extremely proud to be supporting the development of rugby union in Wales, and we would like to wish both Cardiff Metropolitan RFC & Monmouth RFC the best of luck for the remainder of this season.
