Survey respondents - ranging from legal, banking, healthcare, insurance, media, entertainment and public sector departments identified good "green" credentials as an essential component of supplier selection.
In response, The Maltings has introduced the first in a new fleet of electric vans to our core business service. The electric van will deliver archive records to customers with zero emissions and reduced noise pollution in and around the busy Cardiff city centre.
At The Maltings we proactively encourage suppliers to adopt sound Eco- friendly practices, as our own environmental policy already includes targets for minimising waste, reducing energy consumption and that of harmful emissions.
Managing Director of The Maltings - Kathy Fox adds;"It is fair to say that we are some way away from embedding the importance of environmentally friendly practices within the business psyche in Wales. We hope our latest move is viewed as a proactive step in the right direction, and one that will inspire others to go green."
The objective of this latest development is to help establish The Maltings as one of South Wales leading "environmentally friendly" companies.
